„Tvorac grada“ (1945) je bio prvi roman koji je objavila Perl S. Bak pod pseudonimom Džon Sedžis, pokušavajući da napiše priču o američkom Zapadu bez očekivanja vezanih za njena kineska dela.

„Sadioci luka“ je roman slovenačkog pisca Antona Ingoliča, objavljen 1974. godine. Rad tematizira agrarnu reformu i kolektivizaciju u ruralnim područjima, pokazujući izazove sa kojima se seljaci suočavaju tokom ovog procesa.
