“Blue Jean” jedna je od najprepoznatljivijih Bowiejevih pjesama osamdesetih – ritmičan i izrazito pamtljiv spoj popa i rocka, izgrađen oko čvrstog ritma, gitara i karakterističnog vokala. Pjesma je bila vodeći singl s albuma Tonight i postala međunarodni hit; u Velikoj Britaniji dosegla je 6. mjesto ljestvice singlova.

Na B-strani nalazi se “Dancing With The Big Boys”, znatno napetija i eksperimentalnija skladba koju su napisali Bowie, Carlos Alomar i Iggy Pop. Pjesma pokazuje nešto mračniju i nekonvencionalniju stranu albuma Tonight, stvarajući zanimljiv kontrast pristupačnijoj naslovnoj strani singla.

Jugotonovo izdanje predstavlja lokalnu jugoslavensku varijantu originalnog EMI America singla i posebno je zanimljivo domaćim kolekcionarima Bowiejevih izdanja. Primjerak dolazi u originalnom Jugoton picture sleeveu prikazanom na fotografiji, s vidljivim tragovima korištenja i starosti.
