„Mohorijeva družba kalendar za leto 1961.“ deo je dugogodišnje tradicije godišnjaka koje objavljuje Mohorijeva družba, jedna od najstarijih slovenačkih kulturnih i izdavačkih institucija. Namenjen širokoj publici, kalendar kombinuje praktične kalendarske informacije sa raznovrsnim književnim, kulturnim, istorijskim i obrazovnim sadržajem. Pored pregleda praznika, važnih datuma i narodnih običaja, sadrži i priče, pesme, biografske skice poznatih ličnosti, članke iz oblasti istorije, privrede i društvenog života, kao i priloge koji promovišu obrazovanje i očuvanje nacionalne kulturne baštine.
