The compilation album Greatest Hits by legendary Swedish pop group ABBA was released in November 1975 (with subsequent international releases and extended versions in the following years). This release played a key role in cementing the band's global fame, following their triumph at the Eurovision Song Contest the previous year with "Waterloo". The album quickly became a massive global hit, topping charts around the world and selling millions of copies.
