Buvlja pijaca

Riblja Čorba

Riblja Čorba – *Buvlja pijaca*, a classic of ex-Yugoslav rock featuring the distinctive lyrics of Bora Đorđević and songs such as "Dobro jutro," "Ja ratujem sam," and "Baby, Baby, I Don't Wanna Cry."

Buvlja pijaca is the fourth studio album by Riblja Čorba and one of the band's notable works from their classic era. The album features their signature blend of hard rock, powerful guitar work, and the sharp, incisive lyrics of Bora Đorđević—filled with irony, provocation, and commentary on everyday life.

Standout tracks include "Kako je lepo biti glup" and "Dobro jutro," alongside "Pravila, pravila," "Ja ratujem sam," "Baby, Baby I Don't Wanna Cry," "Neću da živim u bloku 65," and "Kad ti se na glavu sruši čitav svet." "Baby, Baby I Don't Wanna Cry" was written by Momčilo Bajagić Bajaga, who was the band's guitarist at the time.

The album showcases the band in a formidable lineup featuring Bora Đorđević, Rajko Kojić, Momčilo Bajagić, Miša Aleksić, and Vicko Milatović, augmented by additional keyboards, strings, and horns. The result is a more diverse sound that combines solid rock with moments of richer musical arrangement.

Buvlja pijaca remains a landmark title from the golden age of ex-Yugoslav rock and an excellent choice for Riblja Čorba fans and collectors of domestic vinyl releases alike.
