Medvjedić vile Dudulice

Medvjedić vile Dudulice

Baerbel Spathelf

The book, in a warm and gentle way, helps children more easily accept weaning from pacifiers and reduces the fear and uncertainty associated with this process.

The picture book The Pacifier Fairy's Bear by Bärbel Spathelf and Susanne Szesny tells the story of a little girl who is very attached to her dummy. One night, a gentle Pacifier Fairy appears, collecting pacifiers from children who are ready to grow up and giving them to little babies or teddy bears who need them. At first, the little girl has a hard time parting with her pacifier because it gives her security and comfort. The fairy helps her understand that she is big enough to sleep without it. In the end, the little girl bravely gives her pacifier to the little teddy bear, feeling proud and happy because she has taken an important step in growing up.
