Aćimović zaključuje da je stabilna bezbednost u Evropi moguća samo uz međusobno poštovanje suvereniteta, ravnopravnost država i jačanje multilateralnih mehanizama saradnje. Knjiga je značajna i kao dokument tog vremena, jer osvetljava način razmišljanja i prioritete spoljne politike u kontekstu Jugoslavije u to vreme.
